This policy explains what information BuddyWorld collects when you join our waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple and collect as little as possible.
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
We do not collect names, payment details, wallet information, or track you across other websites at this stage.
We use your email solely to send you updates about the BuddyWorld launch and waitlist. We will not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their own marketing.
Waitlist signups are stored securely in our database (Supabase) and the site is served via Vercel. Your email is written server-side and is not publicly readable.
If you chat with the homepage buddy, your chat messages may be sent to our AI model provider so the buddy can reply. During our public alpha, chats may also be logged and reviewed to help us improve BuddyWorld — these logs are redacted, kept anonymous (we don't use them to identify you), and are not used to give the public buddy any memory of you. The public buddy does not look up waitlist records, cannot access private account data, and should not be used for sensitive personal information. Please don't share personal information in chat.
BuddyWorld is intended for people 18 and older. Please don't join the waitlist if you are under 18.
BuddyWorld's companion is an AI — not a real person, and not a substitute for professional or mental-health support.
